Best ways to positive Wellbeing!

It’s been a mad few weeks and like most businesses, Broadies Supplements has been affected by the impact of the Coronavirus. We’ve closed our high-street shop in line with government guidance, but our online store, filled with certified CBD products is open for business. This blog post will focus on two very important topics; wellbeing and the immune system.

What is wellbeing and why is it important?

Wellbeing is how good we feel within ourselves. In a busy life full of
distractions, it’s easy to forget to nurture our mental, physical and emotional needs. As uncomfortable as life feels in the context of the Coronavirus, some of us suddenly have spare time. With an optimistic approach, this time can be used to our advantage.

Wellbeing is important in helping us stay sane! Prioritising moments to look
after our wellbeing can create a calm, focused and positive environment
internally, which can have a strengthening impact as we connect to the external world.

We take care of our wellbeing through:

Eating healthily
Getting quality sleep
Being active
Developing hobbies and interests
Staying in contact with people we care about and who uplift us
Self-care activities
Being kind to ourselves

How can I boost my immune system quickly?

Eat right!

“Deficiency of single nutrients…results in altered immune responses”[1]: our bodies need all the vitamins and nutrients gained from a well-balanced, nutritional diet.

However, during times of high emotional stress, our appetites can be
affected. CBD oil has been shown to reduce anxiety[2], reduced anxiety is better for appetite.

Sleep!

Sleep strengthens our immune systems more than people realise. Studies show that sleep regulates the production of T cells[3] which are part of the immune system that rids the body of pathogens (i.e. bacteria, viruses that cause disease). There is much anecdotal evidence online and some research[4] that CBD oil has been shown to promote sleep, especially when a person initially starts taking it.

Stay active!

Eating right and better sleep will give us more energy to be active. Another
