Our meeting with Mr. Jacob Rees-Mogg

Today we had the pleasure of having a meeting with MP Mr. Jacob Rees-Mogg, we are very thankful to have the time to raise the issues we have come across since opening and were very inviting to hear that he had been following our journey in the media.

Our main concern and the daily issue is the fact we still do not have the facility to take card payments within our shop, next being the struggles we have with the advertisement being mainly with Google and Facebook.

Explaining the first basic steps of opening a new business such as getting a bank account or a card machine was never something we could have possibly prepared for as a legal business.

We went on to further explain the CBD industry already deals with a lot of prejudiced opinions so explaining to our customers. We only accept cash does not give off a good impression.

Mr. Jacob Rees-Mogg

explained he can help us in terms of bringing up the issue with regards to the bank regulations. The fact we are of completely legal status and have all the evidence to prove this and yet are still unable to obtain the basic need to receive card payment can be addressed.

Unfortunately, Google and Facebook generally have their own regulations so we can only continue pushing and fighting with regard to the advertisement and hope they begin to make changes.

We will continue to keep you all updated on our journey and let’s hope Mr. Jacob Rees-Mogg raises the main issue for us to see some changes within the CBD industry.
